"As someone who even felt self-conscious singing in the shower, it took a bit of persuasion to get me along to Polly’s singing workshop, but by the end of the session I was staggered by what we had achieved as a group. She made the sessions relaxed and fun, starting with warm up exercises, that encouraged us all to lose any inhibitions we had about our singing ability. We then went on to tackle two or three different songs each session. Polly was very flexible with the song choices, which ranged from The Mamas & the Papas to Christmas Carols. To help those who couldn’t read music, Polly took us through the songs stage by stage and by the end (with her patient encouragement) we were managing to achieve very respectable harmonies. We all came away from each session energised and enthusiastic with our accomplishments. Can’t wait to resume the workshops."

"We have been delighted with Polly as she has always built up the confidence of our young daughter in lessons. She makes things fun for kids with an engaging repertoire. A great combination of serious music education with inspiring a love of singing!"

"Polly’s workshops are an absolute joy. I would not describe myself as a singer under any stretch of the imagination. I can’t read music, I’ve never sung in public before and quite frankly, I’m not a very good singer. However I loved every minute of Polly’s workshop. From the outset, Polly put me and the rest of the group at ease with some vocal warm up exercises. We all felt a bit silly at first, but maybe that’s the point. After that, singing was a breeze. Polly broke down each song into easy to learn sections and by the end of the session we were singing whole songs in two and sometimes three parts. Polly is kind and encouraging and not at all judgemental and I felt totally at ease giving it my all.
The workshop was brilliant fun, there was a lot of laughter, and memorable comedy moments but we all wanted to sound as good as we could and under Polly’s guidance, we created something to be proud of. I couldn’t believe how good we all sounded. But the best part of all, was the joy that singing in a group brought me. I can’t really describe it, but it’s great therapy and I can’t wait to do it again. If you’re even thinking about joining a workshop, I can only say, do it. You certainly won’t regret it and you never know, you might just discover your inner Beyonce!"

"My wife and I are in our late 60s, never sung before and thought we'd give it a go during lockdown. We had huge fun, Polly is a natural teacher, and very patient! Polly helped chose music we could tackle and which suited our differing musical tastes. Highly recommended."
